Secrets of Helsinki

What’s produced in Helsinki? In 2007 COMPANY, in other words designers Aamu Song and Johan Olin, decided to find out what is still produced in Finland. The results were used to put together the Top Secrets of Finland sales exhibition at Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art.

The following year the collection found a permanent home near Kiasma, in a small glass cube called Salakauppa (Secret Shop).

Secrets of Helsinki is continuing this project locally. The project looks for and finds industry that is characteristic of Helsinki, designs new Helsinki products based on the traditions of each project manufacturer, and introduces the resulting products to Helsinki residents.

The product discoveries are presented in a blog that is also actively followed in the design capital's Columns and Blogs section.
