HAAGA-HELIA trains business and service industry experts, researching and developing the knowhow and operations associated with these industries.

Our theme for the design year is Tomorrow’s Design, because our design year projects design and shape our future. Tomorrow refers to the near future and is therefore almost at hand, whereas design embodies developing and improving that which we experience right now.

HAAGA-HELIA projects are aimed at developing tomorrow’s Helsinki, tomorrow’s learning and tomorrow’s world of work. The projects and the entire HAAGA-HELIA design year are characterised by a strong belief in the fact that by being proactive and methodical we can influence our tomorrow for the better.

We want to encourage everyone to believe that to achieve change and improve our situation really depends upon ourselves: We Design the Change!
