The photo exhibition by Jussi Tiainen consists of 75 photos of buildings in
Helsinki that represent new architecture.
The photos cover a span of about ten years, 1998-2006, and most of them were
ordered by the architects themselves. The buildings represent a large scale
of new construction.
The exhibition Contemporary Urban Architecture in Helsinki was first shown in
the Jugend Hall in Helsinki from 7 September to 21 October 2001. Since 2003
it has been shown in the United States, Mexico, Norway, Germany, Hungary,
Ukraine, Canada, China and most recently in Russia, in 2007. Now the
exhibition is shown at Virka Virtual Gallery.
