Designers' video portraits

We wanted to give Finnish designers an opportunity to tell their story: to explain what design means to them and how diverse the world of design is.

In cooperation with Cocoa Media Productions Oy we will highlight twenty professionals in the field of design from traditional product design to service and digital design.  Through these portraits we wish to shed light on the scope of designers’ field of work and its challenges as well as to draw attention to those top designers who may not be very well known yet.Cocoa put together a creative execution of the vision for which the designer interviews gave content and a voice. The camera crew visited work places and studios to discuss design as a profession. “The designer series was an inspiring project,” Taito Kawata from Cocoa says and continues that “Finnish design is at its best right now, and we're eagerly waiting to see how diversely design will flourish in 2012."
