Echoes of Habitare gets a head-start on World Design Capital 2012 in Vantaa

On Friday, the first exhibition at Vantaa’s World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 exhibition centre, Habitaren kaikuja, (echoes of Habitare) gets underway.

This continuing window exhibition, which will be on display until the beginning of December, highlights the theme of everyday design of Vantaa’s World Design Capital year. The exhibition is built on a stand designed by students of design from the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences for the Habitare 2011 fair. The window of the WDC facility is also displaying a student’s survival kit, the items and concepts of which were designed to meet everyday needs.

The exhibition centre, which has been created through co-operation between Vantaa Vocational College Varia and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences will provide information and interesting experiences in Vantaa throughout WDC 2012.
