The development of Kruunuvuorenranta followed in photos and video

The future Helsinki district of Kruuunuvuorenranta will consist of the former Laajasalo oil docks, Kruunuvuori, Kaitalahti, Tullisaari, Stansvik estate, and the wooded areas to the west of Henrik Borgströmintie road and Gunillantie road. Kruunuvuorenranta will be both a cosy residential area and an attractive recreational area for all Helsinki inhabitants.

The area has six kilometres of shoreline. In addition to gorgeous views over the sea, the district offers its own cultural history in the form of estate parks and true natural wilderness. The construction of Kruunuvuorenranta will begin in 2012.

In the fall of 2010, photographer Charlotta Boucht documented the former oil harbour that will be removed from the area. Her exhibition Kruunu takes you back to the recent history of Laajasalo and to an area that used to be predomintanly closed to the public and that has magnificient views towards the city.

The Kruunuvuorenranta video blog follows the construction project, for example the moving of an oil tank from where the residential buildings will be built.
