Which travel treasure in Finland would you like to save? Does your favourite café need more pleasant furnishings or improved online visibility? Is the path to your favourite lookout spot overgrown with willowherb? Disclose a travel location in Finland which is in need of new lifeblood!
Hidden Treasures as part of the WDC Helsinki 2012 programme will showcase local travel treasures and save them from oblivion. The idea for and implementation of the project came from Nopsa Travels, travel agent with a difference, which, in place of package tours, offers inspiring tour packages that are ecological, free of charge and close by.
The location to be restored via the Hidden Treasures project may be an old restaurant, inn, lake boat or even a hot-dog stand. Any restoration work will be carried out respecting the location’s former status, as ecologically as possible and in tandem with the owners of the suggested locations. The aim of the restoration will be to make these locations more functional, pleasant and user-friendly. With the help of professional designers, these locations will be saved and refined into Hidden Treasures, exciting new age travel destinations.
By disclosing your very own Hidden Treasure, you will assist others to discover a local travel destination and possibly even increase your own business. Three locations will be chosen from all voted locations, and the Nopsa team of professionals will restore these respecting their former status.
