Fashion Brunch, which will be held on 8-9 October 2011 in the downtown area of the Design Capital, is an opportunity to enjoy great food and fashion shows.
Jointly arranged by the Globe Hope design company and Klaus K design hotel, this project is based on Globe Hope’s ethical values. “We share a lot of the same values with Klaus K and it’s an honour to be able to follow well-known brands at the Fashion Brunch! We’re really looking forward to good food, socialising and the fashion show, where we’ll be launching our new line,” says Seija Lukkala, Managing Director of Globe Hope.
The Klaus K design hotel operates in downtown Helsinki and launched its Fashion Brunch series last year. Globe Hope, which is following respected Finnish designers like Minna Parikka and Jukka Rintala in this series, was established in 2003 and produces ecological clothing and accessories from recycled materials. The company’s main goal is to design and make products that are aesthetic, functional and idea-rich – the use of recycled material is a bonus.
The brunch served during the fashion show presenting Globe Hope’s winter collection will make use of organic and local foods. The Finnish company Ecompter has also calculated the carbon footprint of the events.
Guests will have the chance to find clothing bargains at Globe Hope’s pop-up shop opening for the duration of the event in the design hotel’s Ahjo Bar&Club.
